New owner of 1929 model A Hello all
I was just given my father in laws 1929 Model A. My wife is thrilled. Still trying to get her started! The car not the wife, joined the forum to gather informTion and hopefully assist others as I learn, Jonathon in Michigan |
Re: New owner of 1929 model A Always make sure the Spark Advance Lever is in the Full up position when starting. It's the lever on the left side of steering wheel.

Throttle lever (right) down about 1/4-1/3 Gas valve on (under dash) Key on Press starter Pull/push choke until it starts. Pull spark down a little and listen to her purrrrrr |

Re: New owner of 1929 model A I'd only pull the choke out for one or two chugs or you'll be flooding that puppy and never get it going. Lightly file or sand the points to make sure crud hasn't built up.
