Auction At Titusville, Florida

On Friday, April 10th my wife, son and I attended a preview of cars to be sold at auction the following day in Titusville, Florida. We did not attend the auction the next day but I bet there were some happy campers. Although some were pretty rough, they were salvageable. There were several complete engines including flatheads up for auction. I saw more Chevy Nomads than I had ever seen at any show including Hershey.

A couple of 3 window coupes waiting to be restored.

A unique `35 Cabriolet with a roll out windshield? Give me your thoughts on this.

Lots of desirable Nomads and convertibles.

I was also there on Friday. On the auction results page the 34 on the right sold for $24,500.00 and the 34 on left sold for $17,000.00. The pink chevy convertibile sold for $22,000.00.

Thanks for sharing! I would think the 35 Cabriolet with the roll out is a conversion from a coupe. Did you notice or get a picture of the door? Short door or long? Thanks again for sharing the great pictures !

Didn't the handle for the window on coupes come through the dash ?

It does indeed come through the dash. I believe this was an attempt to to install a roll out windshield. The dash has been replaced to accept the mechanism as the original had no provision for the crank.

I have to wonder why the cabriolets, roadsters and station wagons did not have this roll out windshield option.

SHADETREE .......................................
Thanks for taking and posting photos of the cars to be auctioned in Titusville, Fl !
How about those prices on the 3 Window Coupes ? WOW !
Sorry that I was not able to meet you there, but LIFE got in the way.
Did you get photos of the roadsters that were there ?
I never heard of a '35 Cabriolet having a roll out windshield and I have owned one for nearly fifty years. My bet is that someone tried to install one, themselves.
Thanks again, SHADETREE !

Thanks for sharing these pictures Tony. It is incredible to see what one man has collected over the years. Hope to see some of these cars back on the road after all these years sitting untouched.
