'23 Ford Roadster skids off road, two killed

Today's FOX news had an article about a couple (man was 70) who were killed as their '23 Model T Roadster skidded off the road and flipped up-side-down. It just goes to show, Just because we drive a unique and historic vehicle does not mean we are immune to accidents - just like today's cars.

Not a good week for Model T Owners, as there was a second accident reported which resulted in a lady being killed in Minnesota. The first one was in Pennsylvania. Refer to attached Links.

I looked at the links. The Minnesota accident occured in July of 2013; not this week.

The Pennsylvania accident article features a stock photo which does not reflect the different engine, different wheels, and doorless body that other articles mention.

The accident in Pennsylvania is recent. This is the Link.
After checking the article again, the accident in Minnesota was back in 2013 as mentioned by tmiller6

Sometimes, it is stunning how things work in mysterious ways. I was good friends with Karen and her family. Two years before her passing (almost to the day) we were all touring in Rochester, MN when another of our friends lost a tire on his Model-T and rolled their car. Karen was on the tour riding with her husband and was one of the first on the scene. Being a first-responder as her career, she began giving first-aid to Ken and his wife who were seriously injured from the accident. While Ken later succumbed to his injuries, Karen was a large part in helping at the scene until the ambulances arrived. It was ironic that Karen would pass from a similar vehicle accident.

Both accidents are indeed very sad - but we enjoy these vehicles with the same understanding of their shortcomings that motorcycle riders have about their bikes. The difference is that, when an accident involving an antique automobile occurs, it gets far more coverage than a bike accident simply because it's unique. Witness that the comments about the couple who were killed in the rollover immediately condemmed antique automobiles in general.
