1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color Does anyone know the correct engine color for an H-series 6 cylinder in a 1948 Tudor?

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color You should have a G series engine in your 48 Tudor- distributor in front of engine.
G series started in 1941-1948 and were Blue- same as V8. H series started in 1949 and were Blue. 1950-1951 were Bronze. |
Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color H-series in '48, I think!! Green book shows G series '41 to '47, and H-series '47 to '48. So, it seems to have changed sometime during '47 production. And, of course, it's in the '48 F-1.

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color Late September of 1947, Ford switched to the H series. I never knew that the H series was put in a car- only the truck.

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color We think this car was built in March 1948 and it was built with an H-series 6 cylinder. Rare item, indeed.

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color H series 48/49 in a car would be blue.

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color The H series was in the truck only in 1948. Car in 1949. Had both way back when. Both were blue.

Re: 1948 H-series 6 cylinder engine color I've got a '48 car with an H-series 6-cylinder. Original engine...a little rare.
