Re: Harman collins cam spec? The only information that I can find even close to a "s-109" designation is in in the vintage camshaft specifications section of the book How to Build Ford Flathead V-8 Horsepower by George McNicholl. In that section he list what is refered to as a grind called "semi" with 109 degrees lobe seperation. I don't know if that is what you have but the specs from the book are as follows: Advertised duration- 250 degrees intake & exhaust, Lobe separation angle-109 degrees, Net valve lift-.309 inch intake, .307- inch exhaust, Valve lash (hot)-.011 inch intake & .013 inch exhaust, Overlap (with advertised duration): 32 degrees, IVO: 16 degrees, IVC: 54 degrees, EVO: 54 degrees, EVC: 16 degrees. He list it as a "street cam". All the other listings that he has for Harmon & Collins have either different number or letter designations. This might not be what you have but it could give you a starting point if you can measure your lobe heights, or if you can degree your cam. I hope this helps. Bill

Re: Harman collins cam spec? I have some specs for the Harmon & Collins semi.
Same timing events as above, but lift is. 320 in and out. They ground a "super" with. 320 lift and a "super H".350 lift could be this that the S (super) is meaning. Degreeing the cam will get us closer to what you got. This is from. "How to hop up Ford & Mercury V8 engines". By Rodger Huntington 1951. Floyd Clymer publication. Probably different numbers from different publications, not that uncommon when researching cams ground that far back in time. Martin. |
