Happy running T again. 1 Attachment(s)
Just getting around to posting this but,, the last 2 warm seasons my T hasn't been running good at all, to even get it to go down the road decent the spark had to be advanced all the way down,, so i cleaned the timer out, cleaned the carb out, checked the plugs, no matter what i did it just didn't do anything for it. So i decided it was time for a brand new timer and roller. After pulling the roller this is what i found. Gotta say the car has never ran better. Sooo check your rollers.

Re: Happy running T again. Or use a New Day timer. :)

Re: Happy running T again. It is hard to believe you had not found that when you cleaned it up.

Re: Happy running T again. Congratulations, on figuring the problem out on your own! I can't tell you the number of times I would have kicked my own A-- for not being able to see the Forest for the Trees!

Re: Happy running T again. If you pack the timer with Vaseline or red bearing grease that won't happen again.

Re: Happy running T again. I believe Ford recommend Vaseline but how does it hold up to the heat? Pretty sure a decent high temp grease like Royce is using wil be OK.

Re: Happy running T again. Interesting,, so why is grease better then oil, wouldn't you want to use something that flows? Thanks a bunch.
