Whats wrong with this 4 door slant ????

Always wanted a 4 door slant windshield, love the way the windshield passes to the roof, but look at what I got.

Just got it home from New Orleans, somebody did a good lead job on the visor. I will remove it. Car was restored but suffered from 17 years of storage. Excellent body and fenders, runs great, good interior. Needs new paint

Are you referring to the exterior sunvisor?

Don't you have a pull down visor inside? Maybe two?

So leave those sunglasses at home!

I was just looking at a slant window today. I am not a big fan of them as I think the space between the windshield and top looks like its missing something. If they did a good job of installing the visor, I might like it as is and leave it.

It has a visor and it's on a trailer. Get it down, take the visor off, and drive it.

Henry should have left the outside visor on the slant window cars. My Vic is a slant window and when caught in a rain storm water can come through the hinge for the windshield.

Nothing . Tim I think your car with the sun visor looks great, always wondered what a slant would look like with visor. I always look at a slant and it just looks like something is missing, the A just looks correct with orig size wheels and the visor. Bigger wheels make them look like mild mannered hot rod, just me. have fun modelAtony Lafayette, LA

I know of a few people who have put exterior sun visors on slant windshield cars to keep rain off of the windshield, and to stop leaks.

That's a nice Model A you have. Good luck with her.

One of the reasons for my not pursuing a 4-door slant was the lack of a visor. This gives me an idea when & if I ever get another Model A. I like it!

I have been told that one of the advantages of the Slant's exterior "visor-less" design, is less noise/vibration and wind resistance while driving at speeds above 30mph. I don't know if it is true that the exterior visor introduces a lot of drag, wind resistance, or vibrations/noises at higher speeds?

That's great looking! I would love to see some close-up shots of how the visor is fitted.

I wonder if it an accessory, or if someone fitted a regular Model A visor to it.

I agree, it is so unique that I would be inclined to leave it in place. It would make a great conversation piece.

Drag - Yes
Wind resistance - Yes
Vibrations - No
Wind noise - Yes
Good looks - Yes

Perhaps it would look better if yours had the more curved visor rather than the one that is flat all the way across.

I wish my 31 slant looked that good. I would just drive the car as is for a year and see if the visor doesn't grow on you enough to keep it.

When I first bought my 31 I thought it looked bad without a visor, but it's growing on me, and I don't mind it so much now.

Tim, My Man,
You mentioned that they did a good job on it, just think how much work it would take to "un-do" it! Personally, I think it looks GOOD & DOESN'T detract from the classic Model A look & they really help in the rain.
To me, a Slant window always looks as if it has "something"?? missing! A '32 Doesn't look that way, with it's curved roof line, above the windshield.--Bill W.

I agree that you should keep it. I plan on adding one to mine some day.

I put a visor on my 31 Slant 20 yrs ago. I love it and so do many others.
It definitely has the Ol Boys talking...

Roger, I love it when the "OLD BOYS" critique my car! It helps separate the really nice guys from the ASSHOLES & then I go home & scratch off a few names from my "POSSIBLE FRIENDS"?? list!!!
The Dog is good at evaluating folks also, & helps me with my list!----Bill W.
