NO, you must read the whole thing. SS valves with Chrome stems. This reduces wear to nothing. Your OEM valve is a 2 piece valve and when you replaced them with the SS valve it wore out the guides. I've been telling people this for years. Now you just proved it. Thank you.

Thanks... I did read it, but my mind chose to ignore the word 'chrome'. I've got my tail between my legs, and I'm 'slinking' away to hide somewhere. Course, now I'm wondering what the head shop REALLY used. First thing I see is that my memory is shot (but, I suppose we all knew that). Second, I see that the invoice says V-1927 Intake valves, with a side-note that says FM ch (I assume to mean Fed Mogul chrome). For exhaust, it says E-2090, with the same note about FM ch. Without further research, I have no idea what this means, and I assume these are not Manley valves. Anyway, thanks for your response, and the advise to not use SS valves (but chrome is ok).
