Converting to tube shocks

I recently purchased a "Pete & Jakes" shock kit for my 46 coupe. I am somewhat confused as to where the lower shock is mounted. Pete & Jakes illustration shows lower shock connected to the Perch shackle. Other illustrations I've seen show lower shock connected to the spring shackle. Can anyone put a photo on the thread that would show the correct way to do this?
Thanks all!

Re: Converting to tube shocks

I don't have a photo but found the instruction on-line. The lower shock attachment point is incorporated into the spring shackle. The supplied shackle is installed with the shock mount stud as an extension of the shackle bolt that extends through the spring perch. Stated another way, the stud to mount the lower end of the shock is forward of the spring shackle, and in line with the perch (or upper end) end of the shackle.

Re: Converting to tube shocks

Tnx 40 cpe! Most illustrations that I have found use the spring end shackle like you say. A couple of the conversion kit companies have used the perch shackle end. The one sold by Gearhead seems to be a better conversion. Not as much modifying. Wished I had seen that one first! THANKS AGAIN
