24 bolt hole Rear Axle Differential Housings...

Recently, in another thread, our Model A friends from NZ and Austraila showed us a Model A Rear Axle with "extra" bolts on the front end of the housing which made a total of 24 (12 per side) AND were "Specified (for) use on AF Chassis"... "AF" meaning Foriegn.

They were built and for use between April through July 1928...then they returned to the 20 bolt hole housings.

Has anyone ever seen any of these axles on US cars?

That'd be a "no" from me. Never seen one in person.

I have one in my June 1, 28 Roadster that I feel is original. The car is Canadian made and came from Alberta in the early 90's. Body w243 and engine CA15266... I think I also have a spare....
