clutch pedal assembly I have a 1938 ford coupe deluxe that currently has an autiomatic transmission. I have a t5 that I would like to install. I am looking for information on clutch pedal assemblies. I do not care if it is original looking or not. I looking for any cost effective solutions and advice on what kind of pedal assembly, mounting, etc.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
Re: clutch pedal assembly What pedal assy do you have in there now? Maybe you are lucky and have a '40 where the clutch pedal was just left off. With that you could get a clutch pedal and an equalizer shaft to use with the appropriate trans adapter. Or, depending what holes remain in the frame, you might adapt a '39 pedal assy where you do not need the equalizer shaft.
I recommend you do searches for threads about '35 to '38 Fords converting to hydraulic brakes. Those are the parts you are going to be searching for. Also, you might include your location in your description in the event there is a 'barner near you that can help. |
Re: clutch pedal assembly Bob Drake sells a complete '39 pedal assembly, brake and clutch. His part number 91A-2473-K. Bobdrake.com

Re: clutch pedal assembly Thanks for the replies. Right now there is an aftermarket underfloor, single pedal, power brake assembly.

Re: clutch pedal assembly I installed the Drake 39 pedal assembly in my 37 truck with a 1940 flathead, speedway adapter, T-5, and a chassis engineering center x member replacement for a 350 transmission. It has worked out great, stock type clutch linkage, juice brakes, with a newer dual master cylinder.
