Hello fitzpatrick, I've spoke with many elderly women at numerous car shows that had some interesting stories regarding the rumble seat...says many a folks were made in the rumble seat.....hmmmm. :rolleyes: All good history I reckon. I would much rather have a trunk. Happy Motoring Dutie

I remember a story about rumble seats . Back in the day, riding in a rumble seat wasn't always the thrill that it can be now days . Inclimate weather would be rough on rumble seat passengers . An old retired automobile dealership owner was talking to a groupe of people and the subject of rumble seats came up . The old dealer said that he wanted to go to HELL in a rumbler seat !!! A local minister spoke up and said, no,no , you don't want to go there !!!!!!! The old guy spoke up and said yes I'll be glad that I finally got there . In other words ,the old guy figured that riding in the rumble seat was worse than hell .
