very early lugnuts on 28 What socket size are the lugnuts on a early 28. Mine are made like T lugnuts but slightly larger, between 11/16 and 3/4. I think it may be something in 64th or 32nds. Model T lugnuts are 21/32.

Re: very early lugnuts on 28 Resolved, 23/32nd or more commonly 18MM.

Re: very early lugnuts on 28 Let's bring this topic up again. Is there a difference between the T lug nut and the A lug nut on the early 1928's? I am showing a part number of A-21837 for the early style that eventually was changed to A-21837-AR when the A-21837-B Hub Bolt (Lug) Nut was introduced.
Seeing that it did have its' own A part number makes me believe it was different than the T hub bolt (lug) nut. Can anyone confirm and share the differences? |
Re: very early lugnuts on 28 Just as an aside, 23/32" apparently was a standard size nut. I encounter this size on occasion and have a couple of open end wrenches in that size. It's not truly 18mm as 23/32" converts to 18.3mm but that mm size will surly work.

Re: very early lugnuts on 28 Thanks guys. I have lug nuts that are very similar but slight variations. I think out of 70 something lug nuts that I have, there are about four different variations in what I have. I wish I could get to see a print on these.

Re: very early lugnuts on 28 The Release for A-21837-AR says "Use T-2809".
The Drawing T-2809 shows a 11/16" diameter, height 1-1/8". |
Re: very early lugnuts on 28 11/16" diameter or AF?
