Panel truck question Can anyone advise if a Panel Delivery truck ever had bumpers when it was made. -1931.
Thanks!! |
Re: Panel truck question I'm pretty comfortable saying that there were front bumpers, but not back bumpers.

Re: Panel truck question Based on recent threads, the bumpers and support arms were not included in the price of the vehicle. For commercial bodies, it is likely that the support arms would be unique to the body length and drop dimensions. So a special order situation would arise if not ordered as a factory installed extra. I think dealers would have stocked passenger applications for installation. AA commercial applications, I side with RockHillWill.

Re: Panel truck question 79A bodies did not have bumpers on the rear. I think they are a great addition, will not pass judging but can save those impossible to find corner panels from damage.
If you know anyone that needs the upper side body panels and the interior floor to side wall panels, I have spares that I will trade for? Steve |
Re: Panel truck question My 130A Deluxe Delivery was equipped with rear bumpers.

Re: Panel truck question 2 Attachment(s)
The one I had did not have rear bumpers. It was purchased by the CT model A club in the 70's and due to problems in the club, it was sold. I bought it several years later. I sold it to a guy in New Hampshire and he was in the restoration process when he died.
