Mallory in a A model 1928

I have a Mallory YS701AVC in a Model A and need to get the distributor sorted.
The guys who are setting it up have asked for the setup details so they can set the curve up on their machine.
Can anybody please tell me what the initial starting degrees and final are and at what rev range they would be set at?
Standard motor, standard flywheel and only mod is a 94 Carb.
Probably not real critical but I just need an answer for the sparkys setting it up.
At the present I set the crank timing at 10 degrees at Idle but it won't advance once the revs are increased, possibly the springs are for a higher revving engine?

Thanks in advance(no pun intended)
I have also asked on the Hamb by the way,
I have read many posts on the subject but nothing really I can

It also could be for an engine where the dist turns clockwise, as most do. Model A's turn CCW. Grab the rotor while holding the lower shaft, if the rotor turns a little (spring loaded) it will turn in the direction that it will advance.

Thank you very much mate, your bloods worth bottling.
I,d just tightened up the big ends, unstuck 2 rear exhaust valves, put the distributor back together last night and run it up.
I can now pull a few more revs and after initially setting the timing @10 degrees at idle, it only advanced another 2.
I can now take this info to the ignition guys and get it sorted.
Thanks again.
