Water valve, head to heater What is an original style water shut off valve from the head to the hose to the heater on my '41 ?

Re: Water valve, head to heater Here's a photo of one, you should be able to get them from most Ford Parts Dealers.

Re: Water valve, head to heater If money is no problem, there's some NOS ones on Epay,
But a little more that I wanted to pay for one. |
Re: Water valve, head to heater The correct valve on a 40 has the shutoff in line with the hose connection or parallel to the ground. I am surprised the 41 is different. Seems like the shutoff knob would interfere with the spark plug conduit since the 41 uses the same "A" head as the 40.

Re: Water valve, head to heater Thanks,Vic. That is the one I have for my '41. I am replacing the engine and just wanted to make sure.

Re: Water valve, head to heater 3 Attachment(s)
The water heater shut off that Henry installed on the 1939, 1940 and 1941 Ford and Mercury that left the factory is what is shown with the "Mickey Mouse" ears on the shut off, the ears were steel with a copper color plating. These are kinda hard to find, unless you know where to look. The "Benny Bootle" days are over so not too many people need these for their car to be "correct". Any water shut off will do the job.

Re: Water valve, head to heater Gosh, I remember seeing Benny Bootle at the AACA shows with his "perfect" 40's years ago. Wonder whatever happened to his car collection.
