Well I bored it with a new 11/16" end mill. Then I turned a piece of yellow brass .625" id, and .698" od. Will finish the od tomorrow. Pictures I hope. Bruce Works good Lasts long time |

Re: 97 carb There were corrosion pits in the lower 1/2" of the well.

I was unable to use; jets needle valve and seat Accelerator pump $43.00 for gaskets? Its all good. Starts good, runs, and does not leak. Bruce Works good Lasts long time |

how much interference fit on the sleeve to carb body, Did you use any type of sleeve setting compound? or just a dry press fit? Fordestes |
Re: 97 carb Jut saw your post and you are right on the money cmbrucew the brass works great for a long term fix.Its harder than the die cast and easy to machine.

Fordestes I don't remember. but I did put a light cote of locktite on before pressing in. Much easier to buy a body from Uncle Max. Bruce |
