1925 Model 190 Stewart speedometer?
 

This speedometer and this cable swivel are part of what I was told was a model 190 Stewart speedomter, circa 1925. I am trying to get it functioning in a 1926 Model T Tudor sedan, and need the speedo cable housing, inner square end cable and the drive gear. Anyone know who and or where I can contact to obtain this stuff?

Thanks, Layden. I have tried about three times to determine if the parts that Lang's has will work on my system, to no avail. I will keep working on them, and they have the photos above as well.

Try www.antiquespeedometer.com they have a remarkable on line catalog with charts to show you the sizes of gears you need. I have found them very helpful in the past.

You appear to have the parts to a late Model 160 Stewart speedometer. If the odometer drums are pot metal (flat faces and appear to have cracks in them), the speedometer may not be rebuildable. The drums need to be plastic (the numbers are indented into the plastic, and there will be no visible cracks) usually in order to be rebuildable. Russ is a great guy to work with and has rebuilt several speedometers for me. He can rebuild your swivel as well.

By the way, you are missing the cast iron drive gear that is attached to the wheel, a special long nut that attaches the swivel to the spindle, and the cable/drive chain. The cable/drive chain is the most expensive of the missing parts. The swivel is pretty expensive to replace if it is bad.

I'm not positive but we may have the same one on our 1926 Tudor.
