Grancor Heads

These are the Grancore heads, they were made for te 8BA block and had no fins or name on them. THey also had a popup piston area for a 3 3/4 piston on a 4" crank which gave a high compression with out restricting flow. They were in my Bivlle engine

The chamber has the step on the exhaust valves like the old Harley Davidson WR race bike heads had. Those are interesting pieces.

Similar to the Harley KR racing heads as well as the Navarro Hi-Dome racing heads.

Dale,

Do you have experience with the Navarro hi-dome heads? When I bought my "regular" set from Barney in '00, he had these available at the time.

I was just married and didn't have two nickels to rub together. He scared me off by saying the pistons (Arias-only then. Ross now also makes a set) were $100 a piece. No way would my new bride go for $800 in pistons, so I passed.

Things are a little different now and I keep thinking about getting a set. I'm a little concerned about the recent castings though.

Pretty much. I lost a whole race car program to a "partner".

Happens more than any of us would like to think about. Every 'partnership' has its up and downs - and quite a few of them end up with somebody getting a bad end of the stick. It happens in families just as often (maybe even more often) . . . usually related to the age ole' issues of money, greed and power.

Been through that myself. After a while, my driver thought he owned a share in my car (I had him drive for me after I got older). It was a mess, but I still have the car. I'm sure he feels he got the "bad end of the stick".
