horn polarity?

Just hooked everything up. As far as I can tell the horn doesn't seem to care about polarity. is this correct?

Also curious if anyone has a good picture of how the stock wiring harness goes from the switch housing to near the radiator. I have it slipped up in between the shell and radiator on drivers side. Seems to look correct but I want to be sure.

Re: horn polarity?

yes on the horn.wire goes behind rad bracket to horn, light across lower rad, should have 3 clips on bottom of rad to hold wire to right head light.

Re: horn polarity?

I don't think the polarity makes a difference, otherwise the contact points would be identified for such.

If they do.....I goof up every time I connect the wires to the horn.

Re: horn polarity?

Since the horn motor is series wound, polarity doesn't matter. When the armature polarity is reversed (by swapping the 2 wires under the horn clips) the field polarity will be reversed also, so the armature will still spin in the same direction.
