Dr window handle Window handle won't come off. Stuck a wire in the holes up & down & side way holes clear ( 2 sets of holes ) Clear. What could be holding the handle on ?

Re: Dr window handle There is a set screw as well.

Re: Dr window handle A Victoria handle does not have a set screw as a coupe handle does.
If you pushed in the escutcheon to revel the 2 pin locations and there was not a pin in one of them, then someone may have used some other means (glue) to attach it. You will have to gently work it off somehow. |

Re: Dr window handle some of the pot metal handles swell up and hold the handle on. and sometimes you end up breaking the shaft trying to remove them. if you know you have the pin removed take a hammer and tap the handle in, to see if you can get it to move. if it does not move. you might have to cut the handle off. I would rather waste a handle than break the shaft. take from one that has broke more than my share of shafts.

Re: Dr window handle There is a tool (and one can be easily crafted) that will slide behind the interior handle. That will give some ability to rocking and pulling at the same time.
John may be correct as to the final outcome Good luck |
Re: Dr window handle Well the holes are clear, did the taping with the hammer no luck. Will use my Milwaukee m12 3" cut off wheel. I ordered new handles & when they come in I will start.

Re: Dr window handle Do you know that the interior door handles in the Victoria are the same as in the Convertible Sedan, except the plating is different. The Victoria handles are plated with nickle, and Convertible Sedan ones are chrome plated.

Re: Dr window handle the 160B&C`s use the same handles as the Victoria and the plating is the same.
the handles in the convertible sedan are bright nickle. |
