1954 ford car coil wire i would like to find out if a 1954 ford sunliner v8 originally had a brown color coil spark plug ignition wire like 1955-1957 ford's have?

Re: 1954 ford car coil wire Could have been made when the change over came ,but if it’s hot when the ign is on use it !

Re: 1954 ford car coil wire All '54 Fords, regardless of engine option or body style, used the same ignition switch and same coil. Follow the wire to see if it goes to the IGN terminal on your switch. If it does, use it.

Re: 1954 ford car coil wire 54sunliner may be asking about the hi voltage wire from the center terminal of the ignition coil to the center of the distributor cap.

Re: 1954 ford car coil wire My '55 292 years ago had original plug and coil wires. The coil high voltage cable was black.

Re: 1954 ford car coil wire But some wires were brown, especially the 55-57. They also had a loose knot in them
