Which Spoke Straightener Works Easier and/or Better for a Novice?

I need to straighten some spokes before mounting some used wheels I purchased.

I see two tools that are available from Snyder’s and Bratton’s. Will either one of them work easier and/or better for a novice?

https://www.brattons.com/spoke-straightening-tool.html

Or

Or, maybe there is a better tool that I don’t know about.

By the way, I tried searching, but I didn’t find much information. I use Tapatalk for this forum. I don’t know if it submits funky searches or not.

might sound nutz- but I use an old pipe wrench to bend my spokes straight.

seems to work pretty well.

A piece of bar stock with a notch ground into it also works. There is not necessarily one perfect tool for all applications from my experiences.

I made a fitting to go on the end of a slide hammer
I pop it moderately until straight visually

Good idea. It looks like Tapatalk is doing something strange to the searches.

Stop the music...aren't you always a proponent of correcting metal flaws with heat and a cold bath?

When a spoke is bent, I assume the spoke is stretched a certain amount. When straightening the spoke again, is there a chance of making to wheel not run true (wobble) as it is now longer than the other spokes?

On a side note, has anyone used the adjustable spoke Model A wheels?

My experience is that badly bent spokes should not be repaired. Replace the wheel
I’ve been afraid to heat a spoke to shrink because of embrittlement
But no expert on metallurgy
I’ve had Kelsey Hayes model a wheels. Didn’t like the look

I should have explained myself better. I was asking about the 19" wheels with the adjustable spokes. I don't care for the look of a Model A with 16/17" wheels. (except for maybe a black Delux Phaeton with wide whites).

K-H made 19” wheels. I was referring to those.
Maybe not fair because I haven’t owned the repop adjustable spoke wheels.
I’ve not HEARD good reports on them
