Need 37 Ford expert info
 

37 is a year I don't know much about. I was asked by a friend who needs a front fender for a 37 Sedan Delivery if it is the same as a coupe?, sedan? are all 37 fronts the same? He was told a sedan front was different then a coupe so which does a Sedan Delivery use?? (I think that in 38 the standard used a different front then a deluxe.)

I don't know about a coupe, but the sedan front fenders are the same as the sedan delivery. The rear fenders are a different story. They are unique to 37 sedan delivery and hard to find.

I pulled the trigger too early. The 37 SD rear fenders are common from 35-37 model 780 (SD). That's what is listed in the Chassis Parts List 1928-1937 book P. 137.

Glad to help out. I have had my SD for 50 years and am just finishing it up this summer. Along the way I have taken bunches of pics and tried to document things as clearly as possible. It is all free to whomever wants it.
Where is your friend at with his restore? just curious...

38 and 39 sedan delivery rear fenders are also the same as 37s

I generally search for only 1937 rear fenders, but now I will include the other years.

Aren't the rears for a station wagon the same as the sedan deliver??

No. 1935-37 Station wagon fenders extend more into the wheelwell than a sedan delivery, but you can cut down a station wagon fender to make it a 1935-39 sedan delivery fender. 1938-40 station wagon used a different fender unique to those cars.

Mike, he might want to buy the V-8 Club's '37 book. It has a lot of info on the chassis, etc. which is the same on all the '37's that use the passenger chassis.
