Any pros or cons about using these teflon seats instead of the original steel?

I've only heard pros so far, no cons. At least one club member I talked to has them and says they made a huge difference. I will be putting a set in when I rebuild my front end.

Thanks for prompt response! Does the teflon wear significantly ? am I going to need to tighten them up every so often?

I have the Teflon ones. Seem to work great. Been in about a year. I have not had to readjust so far. I should put that on my list to check again.

Ensure your balls are round. Oblong balls may hinder their life and/or amelioration.

Has anyone used the Teflon impregnated With bronze ones? I wonder if they are better?

I went with the Teflon kit, I found that the steel kits did not confirm to the new balls on the reconditioned steering arms, some would only contact the outer edge of the concave and others would contact the bottom, I have had no problem so far.

I have this kit in a 29 CCPU. 10k kilometres , steering vastly improved from steel . never had any adjustments but a reminder during winter maintenance . one important point as mentioned , your balls need to be in good condition , no lumps or flat spots .

I found that I had the kit already installed in my recently sold Tudor. Steering was smooth as glass and upon inspection I saw no wear. Adding the shortened pitman arm just added to the "gentleness" of steering. Chap

I install these routinely on cars where I’m servicing the front steering mechanisms. I’ve use hundreds of the kits and have had absolutely zero issues. I concur with Canadian that your balls need to be in excellent condition as to roundness. The only place I can recommend for ball service is A&L .
I do the entire assembly in the bench and install as a unit with all 3 arms, drag link and tie rod . Of course toe in will need to be set.

Prior owner installed teflons. Upon checking, a couple seats were mashed due to probably over tightening with steel balls OK. Reinstalled new ones but drilled small holes to allow a little grease to flow like originals. We use an older chassis grease without a lot of additives. Some period literature recommended tightening to allow the drag and tierod to be firmly rotated by hand if that makes sense.
