1931 ccpu radiator shell photo

Could someone please post a photo of a 1931 ccpu steel radiator shell. Also what is the difference between 1928-31 pick up shells? I'd like to purchase a correct 1931 steel shell and steel cowl band moulding for my truck.

Thanks in advance
Charley

I have this one for sale. The stainlless strip that holds the hood hinge rod in place is correct, I checked it with another shell a friend has. Bob

Charley,

The shells Roadster62 shows are correct. Missing is the emblem on the top which I believe is available as a reproduction. The 1931 emblem is stainless steel like the passenger car of that year. The 1930 emblem is blue porcelain like the passenger car of that year. The basic shell was the same for the two years and was the same shape as the stainless 1930 passenger car shell. There was also a big truck shell for the two years that lacked the peak in the center. The '28-29 shells were shorter like like the passenger cars for those years but I don't have details. Do you already have the steel headlight and tail light buckets? Now that you know what you are looking for it would be a good time to place a "wanted" ad. If you posted your general location (it would be good to include it in your profile) someone in the same city might have what you are looking to find.

Mr. Stevens, thanks for your reply. I was able to purchase a correct set of headlights last year.

Does the above shell represent as good as a shell I most likely will find?

regards
Charley

also shells for the AA truck are deeper since the truck radiator is of larger capacity
