Newly acquired 32 coupe Hi, my name is Todd. I joined the forum a couple of years ago when I was looking for some information on my '39 Standard Coupe. I have always wanted a '32 3 window coupe and last week was able to purchase the car I wanted.
The previous owner had this car approximately 43 years. It was painted in the 1950's and has it's original interior. It has a 1937 engine and transmission and was converted to hydraulic brakes long ago. I intend to maintain the interior and exterior of the car in it's current condition and improve it's mechanical reliability.https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=43820https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=43822 |

Re: Newly acquired 32 coupe 3 Attachment(s)
I hope you went out and bought a lottery ticket. Beautiful car. Check out the brakes carefully many of the early conversions left a lot to be desired. FYI attached is a picture of the master cylinder mount on mine.

Re: Newly acquired 32 coupe Charlie,
The brakes are the first thing I'm going to address. They work good, but pedal placement is off. I will be making a post on that soon. Are you happy with yours? Todd |
Re: Newly acquired 32 coupe Dang! 3 window '32 Coupe. You've done good my friend! Congrats and enjoy it.

Re: Newly acquired 32 coupe A lot of master cylinder conversion set ups aren't as elaborate as Charlie's is. Many early conversions just mount the master cylinder to a flat bracket on the back of the K-member. Make sure the wire wheels are mounted to the hubs/drums properly. They generally have ring spacers to give full seating of the wheel centers if the wheels are the old Ford types. Here is a link.
