Cylinder Leak Down Tester

Does anyone have a picture of or a diagram for a leak down tester? Hard to find one using the search function.
Thanks.
Vic

All aircraft mechanics have them. You can buy one from several sources.

Have you tried JEGS, Summit, Amazon? Local auto parts stores or best of all check with your friends or club members you can borrow one and get educated on it's use.

Made this one years ago works great. Just leave the gauge as is and read it backwards...so
100 PSI = 0% leakdown
90 PSI = 10 % leakdown
80 PSI = 20% leakdown
and so on

Thanks for the replies. I think that I will just get one at H-F next time I am there. I had made up one years ago but used the old spark plug to make an engine lift thing.

I just went to hf and bought one. Found an old plug ground the metal around the porcelain away, piped it out drilled the inside out to 1/2” and tapped it for the 14X1.5 MM adopter in the kit. Now I’m ready to go.

There you go. Mine doesnt even have a gauge - old regulator that leaks slowly so hook it up and let it build pressure and see where it comes out. Generally doesnt take much time and its normal to eventually blow past the rings. Just if its immediate thats not good.
