It was brought to California maybe in the 1970's and I bought it in 1981. It sat in storage and in my shop until 2003 when I stuck a motor in it and drove it for Fathers Day, then built a new chassis during 2004 and switched the body the day before the PRC Reliability Run in October of that year. It has been alot of fun, hence my
advice...

Very cool Richard! Funny, I was born in 1981 ;) Another note, my big goal (and this is no joke) is to get the roadster going and take it on your run. Every year I look at the pics from that event and am green with envy :D

Our 34 5 window driven by Ron Tilley was the track champion at Silver Spring Speedway in Mechanicsburg PA in 1957 & 1958. Also the car that won the most races in one season ever at that track, 11.

Now that all the 34 guys are looking at this thread, I have to ask, who has interior window moldings for my 3W doors? I'd buy one, two or all three. I already have the rear window one. I'm not rich by any means, but would pay a fair price... Thanks,Tim

I have a 34 3 window that was built into a stock car in the late 50s,last run in 64. I've owned it since 64 and just pulled it out of the woods about a month ago. Plans are to restore it to as raced condition.

I live in Camrose, Alberta. I drive a restored 34 Cabriolet and also have an unrestored 34 Tudor, 34 5 window and over the winter bought an unrestored 34 3 window I'd been chasing for well over twenty years. Someday I'll take the time to learn to post a picture. Ron Pilger

The next Run will be on April 30th 2011... You have PLENTY of time!
We present a "Miracle Award" to that special car that either required
same to get there and/or to complete the Run successfully. Keep us
posted on your progress... If you want to get on the mailing list, contact Dennis (EV8G) or [email protected] I think?

I have a 34 5w that my dad bought in the late 50s to make into a hot rod. He started working on it when he retired then I bought it. It still need a lot of work. I love the sound of the flathead. He could not get it to start reliably but I did when I but in smaller power values in the carbs and made the gasket surfaces flat.
