Re: Distributor There is a set screw and locking nut below the distributor near the top of the intake manifold. Set screw snug, then tighten jam nut.

Re: Distributor Make sure the pin at the base of the distributor is firmly seated in the head.

Re: Distributor Like Chuck said tighten the set screw snug,not tight and hold it with a screw driver so the lock nut does not tighten it further. Too tight an the distributor can get distorted and the bushing will . Seize. Brattons catalog has this information. a friend locked up his distributor.
Best to error on the loose side,the pin will hold it. John |
