Front Brake Floaters

Has anyone on the forum used the Vintage Brake Floaters on the front brakes of their A ? If so how were the results ?
Would it be better to install Flathead Teds Floaters on front and rear?
Some say original setup should work fine. Info from anyone that used Vintage brake floaters or Flathead Teds would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

Re: Front Brake Floaters

I have Flathead Teds floaters on all my A's. After installing them on the first one I could see such a difference that I installed them on the others. I bought another A two weeks ago and I have already ordered Flathead floaters for it.

Do they work well with steel brake drums?
My brake drums do not appear to be worn much.
Thanks

They work on ours!

I had a little trouble with one wheel locking on, but after refitting the top springs, it's stunning! I can lock the wheels with just a stiff press on the pedal, and the brakes are very progressive and smooth, no grabbing or surprises.

We've got steel drums and "modern" linings with flat head teds floaters. As above, they're the first thing I'd buy!
