6 volt stealth Optima case

I was looking for a battery for my '30 Coupe and stumbled upon this Battery case only that fits over an Optima 6 volt battery. NOT for the "A" but would work in my '48 Ford, I believe. Kind of pricey but someone would want it. I haven't seen one before. Hope the link works.

Hi,
I think this plastic box is a bit pricey. I have my Optima battery plugged into an own-made aluminum box. See photo.
The idea of such a package is good for those who like the original look.
Greetings

Re: 6 volt stealth Optima case

Russell, the Optima box is for a group 2 battery a bit larger then the As group 1. But I found that a group 2 will fit and the Optima will fit inside the disguise box. You can not use the 29- 30 hold down, but the 31 two corner hold downs should work. You should measure the dimensions and if you are still positive ground so that the cables will reach. But, why? It looks nice without seeing the weird style of the Optima "3 pack". Plus if you a looking for fine point judging you will get gigged for the wrong battery box, ie , a group 2, or an incorrect modern optima. Optima hold downs are sold through Model A vendors. I like Optimas since I don't have to pull back the carpet and floor boards to check water level. $128 on amazon. BTW, the 48 Ford uses a L battery, the terminals are opposite the As. The holes in the optima cover won't match. Cables will be short.
