Needed a carb rebuilt, 2 bbl, 289: contacted Sal Cicala (FordBarn member for years) - the rebuilt unit arrived today, very rapid turnaround, very reasonable cost, and looked like a new unit. Bolted the carb on, primed it, and the car fired and ran perfectly, no adjustments required. Test drive revealed immediate throttle response, no lag, no stumble. This Mustang is back on the road! Does it sound like I am a happy camper?? I'm sending him another carb for another Mustang!

I heartily concur. He rebuilt the carb on my '55 Fairlane 272...big performance improvement. (Thanks Sal!)

Thanks to all for the kind words ! It's appreciated. I'm just a retired old car and carburetor nut that tries to have fun and supplement my retirement at the same time.
