Bridge washer proper installation

I just bought new inner tubes with metal stems made by Coker Tire. These are for a 1931 Phaeton with 19" wheels.
I need clarification on the exact installation of the BRIDGE WASHER and nuts.
I have not found any videos to explain this.
My understanding is:
1) Place the bridge washer over the metal valve stem against the tube.
2) Secure the bridge washer to the tube by placing a lock nut over the threaded valve stem and tighten in place.
3) Then the valve stem goes through the opening in the wheel. This is where I get confused. I think that the RIM WASHER then goes over the valve stem and is tightened against the outside of the wheel.
4) Lastly (of course now assuming the tube is in the tire and mounted on the wheel, should I then place the short dust cover over the valve stem? Does this sit above the rim washer?

Re: Bridge washer proper installation

That is all correct. Make sure the bridge washer runs parallel to the tube not across. The dust cover would screw down and sit on top of the nut, not covering it.

In the future, ask your questions on the Model A forum. This section is for questions about the site or issues with it's use.

Don't forget to install the rim liners.

Is the bridge washer necessary if using a Coker inner tube that comes with the metal stem already attached?
