Inner headlight ring Has anyone replaced the inner rings? They were spot welded originally, but this looks like it would be hard to do. Has anyone tried epoxy?

Re: Inner headlight ring drill small holes in the ring where you want the welds. MIG or TIG the mating surfaces starting on the base through the holes and up through the ring. Grind it flat if you build it up too far.

Re: Inner headlight ring Thanks Pat, I will try that.
I do have a cousin in Santa Ana that is Donna Jean Ariss, but that was her maiden name. Her husband died a couple of years ago. |
Re: Inner headlight ring I take good rings off of bad buckets have them cad plated, and I take bad rings off of good buckets and spot weld the good rings onto the good buckets I have a 110 volt spot welder that does a good job on them my 220 volt spot welder blows holes in them, you could use epoxy because once you have them together there will be no load on them the lens and outer ring will keep them in place.
