Early Ford transmission 3 Attachment(s)
Hi guys
While I am waiting for my engine block that is still in the machine shop I have taken a closer look at the Transmission. However I don't seem to find any information on the Internet that can help me identify what it is. It looks like a fourspeed toploader. There are some reinforcements on the bellhousing that I have not seen on any other of the Transmissions. Nothing at Van Pelts that can point me in the right direction. |
Re: Early Ford transmission Heavy duty truck 4 speed trans. It has no synchreonizers and a very low first gear. It appears to be from an F2 which would put in the early 50's. Only good for a restored heavy truck.

Re: Early Ford transmission You can use it for a anchor.

Nice Corvette btw :) |
Re: Early Ford transmission This section is not for car questions, it is for questions about the site and problems with it. If you are looking for a transmission, use the classifieds, car questions should be in the correct forum, in this case Early V8. That is a 1948 F2 in my avatar, but it came from the factory with the 3 speed.
