The Right Stuff Has anyone used Permatex Right Stuff ???
Is it just a repackaged other product ??? Pros and cons ??? |
Re: The Right Stuff The stuff is actually a lot better than anything else I have used. Its expensive but when I use it its for some extremely demanding application. Example I use no gaskets on some of my race engines especially in the oil pan and timing cover area the Right stuff can take this abuse and seal everything nicely.

Re: The Right Stuff Ive used it on transmission counter shafts and works good

Re: The Right Stuff As posted,it is a very good sealer and not just a repackaged clone. Right Stuff, when used on clean dry parts (as it should be) is seriously strong. You may well have a difficult time getting some stuff back apart so be sure to keep that in mind. Not that it's impossible to remove, but it is very tenacious.

Re: The Right Stuff Not cheap, but good stuff...

Re: The Right Stuff There is a reason it is called "the right stuff". It is in my opinion the best on the market.

Re: The Right Stuff my mechanic saves it for special jobs only. Not cheap!

Re: The Right Stuff The guys in my shop have used The Right Stuff for some time on all of my Diesel Trucks, Quality only hurts once!
|
Re: The Right Stuff I've been using it on my last couple engine rebuilds. It's a very good product I've had no leaks on any of them. I find it much better than RTV

Re: The Right Stuff I once had a customer with aftermarket v/c's on a sbc. Store-bought gaskets didn't fit, and leaked bad. I made the complete 'gasket' out of Right Stuff, it sealed perfectly, never leaked again. Very convincing experience.

Re: The Right Stuff Would this be a good product to use on head bolts/studs?
|
Re: The Right Stuff We used to use it on Chevy head bolts, or any other bolt/stud into water, works great! No seeping head bolts after we went to it.
|
Re: The Right Stuff We used it for header gaskets on roundy round car works great
It's the best stuff I've ever used a little bit pricey but will worth it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: The Right Stuff Is this the same stuff recomended for attaching new running board rubber to the metal running board?

Re: The Right Stuff I used it on a B.B. Chevy intake manifold at the block about five or six years ago no problems
