Aftermarket radiator cap. I buy a radiator some time ago at a swamp meet and the cap is not the standard one. It was made in USA and the threads are 2 1/2 in diameter.
Someone can tell me if a cap is available? Regards. |

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. is that a Model A radiator ?

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. Your cap is the right diameter, but that radiator neck doesn’t appear to be a Model A. A photo of the cap would help to determine if it resembles a Model A cap, and another picture of the neck with the cap as it sits (or doesn’t) in relation to the neck.

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. That's been modified. Model A caps are not threaded. At least my '31 is not.
|
Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. 28-29 caps are threaded. 30-31 are not.

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. Looks like an aftermarket aluminum radiator.

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. Forgot to say, it's an aftermarket radiator i need a 28-29 cap. I have few old radiator who are not threaded. Thanks.

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. Threaded radiator necks are available from some model A parts vendors .. Care must be taken if installing a radiator neck or the radiator shell won't fit .

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. My radiator is a 28-29, and it is threaded
|
Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. The 1930 pick up and AA trucks up to June 1930 used a 28-29 style radiator with the later style tabbed cap .

Re: Aftermarket radiator cap. I believe the original 28-29 radiator cap threads are 2 3/16 inch. If the cap you have is indeed 2 1/2 inch, it's not correct for an A.
