Lug Nuts Who sells correct fitting lug nuts or do I need to find a set of originals? I have a '29 Coupe.
Most re pops I see made today are loose fitting (slightly oversized) on the lug bolt which causes wear on either. The set I have now are like that. I have one or two originals that fit as designed but not a complete set. |
Re: Lug Nuts I got a set of cad plated ones from Berts and they fit as they should.

Thank you. |
Re: Lug Nuts I see a post about lug nuts once in awhile and it got me to wondering.
Do people ever check closed end lug nuts for bottoming out before they seat on the taper? I have also seen reproduction nuts that did not have the counterbore on the leading edge. |

I do not know if people check but Vince Falter has a webpage on the subject. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/dangerouslugnuts.htm |
Re: Lug Nuts 1 Attachment(s)
A number of years ago some very dangerous lug nuts were being offered by most suppliers. Most of probably dissipated by now, but some are still around. So be aware.

Re: Lug Nuts When I was running stock model A wheels I used to use the large pattern race nuts.
They will compensate for slightly oversize holes in the wheel and still center ok. |
