Barn Find, 1 Owner Jail Bar
 

Hi Visited a relative the other day,he just picked this up, 1 owner 1948, 1 & half ton truck parked up after 45000 miles, could have been barned for over 50 yrs. All there and all original. Dont know much about these any info, best place to get parts, where to start etc is appreciated.

Nice find, it's earlier than 48. 48,49,50 had horizontal grill bars. Where are you from, right hand drive. google the internet, you'll find all the parts you need.

Joblot automotive has always been a good place for truck parts, I used them many times, sometimes they have NOS at repro prices.

Is the vehicle id number same place as in a 36 , chasis rail just forward of x member , drivers side

I was 14 years old when I drove my first vehicle, a 1946 3/4 ton Ford pickup. I was at the height of my glory!

In the U. S. that would be a 42 thru 47 body style not 48 .good luck SUNSHINE
