We can only guess what happened.

My kind of girl! I never knew spooning was dangerous tho.

The big question is- how in the hell did anything happen in the rumble seat, unless it was a Lincoln or some other large car.

Interesting, and from a book dated 1931.

She might be someone's great Grandma, being about 90 by now.

I told you guys rumble seats are dangerous.

This is a good argument against enthusiasts converting Fords with trunk to rumble seat.

If she was 18 in 1931, then she would be 100 years old today.

I can hear it now:

Girl: Well Mom, Dink was driving so fast and the wind was so strong it just ripped my clothes to shreds:o.

Mom: Oh, I see dear, and you just decided to stop at the beauty shop and get your wind blown hair done while you were half naked:rolleyes::mad::mad::mad:.

While visiting the local retirement home, I was opening my roadster rumble seat with a sweet little lady watching. I remarked that it was called the rumble seat and she replied with a bit of a blush and a twinkle in her eye..."Oh yes, I remember the rumble seat...! I think I blushed then. We had a great time visiting.;)

My 75 year old neighbor was a guy who was always putting his wife down or embarrassing her in some way.

The two were out walking one summer day and passed my driveway were I was loading some neighborhood kids for a ride in my '30 Coupe's rumble seat.

Thinking that he could make her blush in front of the adults that were near the car, he nudged her and said "Remember when we used to do it in the rumble seat?"

She didn't even crack a smile as she responded "You never were any good ! "

I love that poster.

This is 90 year old Andy from the retirement home.
I believe he was trying to convince my wife to stay in the rumble seat too long.

We almost came to blows.

Try doing it in a 75 Pinto (not a hatchback or wagon either)- Rumble seat would have been a cake walk
