Are these Model A swing arms? 1 Attachment(s)
I've been rearranging and cleaning up my garage so I can move around and work again. I found these windshield 'swing arms' I forgot I had. Being a 'flatfender' jeep guy, I know they are NOT for the jeep. At first I thought maybe a military truck, but the curve is too much. The length is 6 1/2" and the mounting hole is approx. 7/16" diameter.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance. Craig |
Re: Are these Model A swing arms? My 1st impression is not Model A, at least not what would go with any of mine, but I could be wrong, I'm sure others will chime in and get you the answer you seek.

Re: Are these Model A swing arms? Every Model A swing arm I have seen was straight.

Re: Are these Model A swing arms? They aren't model A, could be door checks for a refrigerator

Re: Are these Model A swing arms? Looks to me like early V8 prewar but other brand cars used something like that too.

Re: Are these Model A swing arms? Thanks guys for the replies. Always seems to happen when acquiring boxes of parts for old vehicles, regardless of the make....something 'foreign' ends up in the mix that is old, but totally unknown. One of those situations where if I toss them to the scrap pile, I'll find out 'down the road' that they were a rare item. I'm sure we all have our share of those stories...sounds like a topic for a different thread, 'If I Only Knew What I Had....'

Re: Are these Model A swing arms? They had roll out windshields on the mid 30s cars till 1940.
