Motor was overheating . I’ve pulled rust and clay out of the block, enough to fill A peanut butter jar. EveryThing been decked and harden valve seat . Balance crank /Max 1 .Odd the block was cleaned My question has anyone seen offset pistons in a 59AB Advantage or dilemma |
Re: Offset piston in a 59 AB It´s just part of the evolution...ford went there with the 8BA.
No reason not to use them as it´s what´s commonly on the shelf theese days. |
Re: Offset piston in a 59 AB I think they were to reduce piston noise.

Re: Offset piston in a 59 AB My engine was sandblasted through all the water jacket holes, cleaning the factory sand and aftermarket rust. I can cruise down the interstate at 65 MPH in the summer and it will show about 170 degrees on the gauge.
