53 parking light socket
 

Would like to replace or at least remove and clean up my parking light socket. Is this socket pressed in, and does it go in from the front side or the back side? Thanks for any help on the issue. 53 Ford Ranchwagon.

I finally did get the old socket out of the housing. Ordered and received a new socket. The new socket fits loosely in the housing. Anyone have an idea on how to tighten up the socket? I was thinking of putting some dimples in the housing where the socket slides into. Any other ideas or experiences. Thanks.

I would solder the socket to the housing, so it makes a good ground ;)

Watch you gasket material. The gray sponge ones suck in water! My lights filled up with water! Newc
