Duals for 1935 Ford Coupe

Would like to hear from anyone that's put duals on or had duals put on a 30s Ford flathead. Any recommendations, tips.

About ten yrs. ago had nice job done on a 48 Chevy coupe with Fenton headers & Smithy’s 26” Glass Packs. Hoping for something similar.

Can also be emailed at [email protected]. Thanks & all the best for the Holidays.

Might check with Red's Headers for exhaust manifolds. They may have other pipes also. You will need to decide whether to relocate your battery, if you still have it under the floor. When I installed duels on my '35 3W...I relocated the battery to the trunk and passed through the battery compartment with the pipe. Will probably use shorter mufflers than the 26" you had on the Chevy. I purchased my exhaust & tail pipes from Epich (sp) in NC. Your local muffler shop may also bend you some pipes. Good luck & Merry Christmas! Pat

Just take your car to your local muffler shop and tell them what you want.

This was an informative post on Reds Header's dual exhaust on a '35 coupe. I bought a complete set of duals from Red's for my 35 3w coupe after they got their problems resolved, but have not installed them yet.

Here's the duals we made for Skips 34 P/U. We had
to elongate the two oval holes in the Xmember, turn
the optima battery and everything fit good. G.M.

I put an 8BA with Fenton headers in a '36 3-window I had a few years ago. I bought some stock bends and straight tubing and made my own, welding it together with my MIG welder. It was 2" all the way back and turned out quite well. It took a while, but it didn't cost a lot and was a fun, satisfying project. As I remember, I was able to snake it all through without modifying the frame. I used one of these to make minor bends and tweaks to the pipes :

i have an optima battery which i moved over to the side as far as possible... other then that i made my own with little trouble.... if layed on their side... the back 2/3 is dead flat, up over the axle, etc. i made my headers and everything to have as few bends as possible to get a deeper tone out of it. ui just bought U bends and straight sections and welded them all together putting bend pieces where needed.
