Mercury head gasket question

I have not run into this before... On a 1941?? Mercury engine.
It is a 3-3/16" bore, with the early type Water passage openings (triangle on top circle in middle and trapazoid shaped bottom one) Nobody makes this gasket. Can a 59A 46-48 gasket be used even though the water passage shapes are different?

Not sure what the water passage shape/size has to do with the gasket openings? Most of the passages are way oversize to help in the removal of the casting core, the gasket controls the water flow.

I believe an 81A copper will work too.

I assumed there would be no issue, but wanted to be sure I was not missing something.
