Gas Door 49 Ford convertible
 

I noticed on a 49 Ford Convertible it has a gas Cap Door as we all know 49's had exposed gas Cap and 50's had the door. all the exterior badging and front turn signal lights point to a 49 Ford Convertible. did Ford make a change in possibly late 49. or is something wrong here. only seen car in photos will look at it in a couple of Days. Any Clues here ? Thanks Guys

You have to give some consideration that a 50's rear quarter panel plus any necessary components were used to repair damage at some point in time.

The dash board can probably tell you which model it is.
