1942 color?
 

I think I found the original cab color (42 1/2 ton) when I pulled some of the firewall pad off. Do you think it’s original paint? I like the color. Was thinking it was that dynamic maroon. Thoughts?

Looks a lot better than the prior owners xmas theme. :D

Vermillion was a commercial color in 1942 and many other years both before and after the war.

Vermillion! 42 or 52 looks good and it is the original color

Here is another color chart for '42. I cannot find any mention of Vermilion for the '42 year, see the second chart. It can be a nice colour though :)
