Looking for my car's previous owner

This is a complete shot in the dark, but I don't know of a better place to start looking.

The car was purchased from a gentleman in Florida who had some connection with Callaway Gardens, I believe. My dad bought it in 1996 or 7 (I'm 90% sure it was 1997).

The car is a yellow/brown/black '31 Cabriolet 68C.

Any leads appreciated.

Does it have a Briggs Body Tag and if so what is the number ?
It starts with 138-....

Some times when you register a car they record the previous owners name or they scan the bill of sale. Go to the office where you registered the change in ownership and see if they can assist you. Wayne
