1935 Truck Hydrostatic fuel sender help I FOUND ONE, THANK YOU ALL.
I have a 1935 Big truck (model 51), with the original hydrostatic fuel gauge system. It is the same as the pickup, the sender mounts on the bottom of the fuel tank. I am in the process of cleaning out the fuel tank and restoring a corroded fuel gauge sender. The sending unit is in restorable condition, for the most part, but the main air chamber is too far gone to repair (see pictures). I have not been able to find a whole sending unit, so it is my hope that someone out there has a sending unit from another model, car or truck, that has a good air chamber that I can purchase. Anybody know where I can find parts for a sending unit, please? |
Re: 1935 Truck Hydrostatic fuel sender help I don't see any picture of yours, but
I have one from a 33 BB, also mounts in the bottom of the tank. Looks to be in good condition. $50. plus shipping if it will work for you. |
